  • Why choose Little Garden Preschool? Little Garden Preschool is a fabulous place to be! The teachers are experts in early childhood education who stay current with the research and understand the unique needs of 3-5 year olds. At Little Garden Preschool, we focus on hands-on learning, social skills, and emotional literacy, as well as providing daily authentic experiences with literature and nature. Parents and teachers collaborate to discuss the needs of each child, and the curriculum is adjusted accordingly. At Little Garden Preschool, we love the children in our classes, we always speak positively, and we make personal connections with each child every day. We also have a lot of fun! We sing, dance, read, paint, race our pet snails, go on field trips, invite guests, and so much more!
  • Where is Little Garden Preschool located? The school is connected to a home at 1908 Westerlund Drive in beautiful East Medford. The school includes a dedicated, age-appropriate classroom space as well as a fabulous outdoor learning environment including a mud kitchen and gardens.
  • What is the student to teacher ratio? We max out at 8 children per class, and with very few exceptions, we have 2 teachers at the school at all times. With the exception of the 30 minute overlap, there is a 1:4 ratio.
  • When are you open? We will be open from 8:30-1pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. You may choose from 3 different programs. Tues/Wed/Thurs 8:30-11:00. Tues/Wed/Thurs 10:30-1:00 OR Tues/Wed/Thurs 9:00-1:00.
  • How much is tuition? Tuition is $230 per month for the short-day program and $410 for the long-day program.
  • What will I be expected to do if I choose to help out in the classroom? We love involving parents in the learning experiences of Little Garden Preschool! There are several ways for parents to be involved. Parents may choose to help during a variety of center times, or they may volunteer to teach a special class to the students such as art, gardening, dance, etc. We love having parents share their expertise and talents with the preschool children!
  • How old does my child need to be to enroll in this program? Your child must be at least 3 years old by September 1, 2025.
  • Does my child need to be potty-trained to start preschool? Yes. We do not have facilities to handle diapering at our school. Students must be able to use the bathroom independently.
  • Does my child eat lunch at school? We do have a healthy snack time each day. Each family will sign up to bring a snack for the class one to two days each month. Snack ideas will be predetermined for you to choose from. If you do not want to provide a snack, you may choose an increase in tuition and the school will supply a snack for your child.
  • Is Little Garden Preschool a registered preschool? We are a recorded preschool program in the state of Oregon.
